Charlotte Kendrick
& Dan Rowe
Charlotte Kendrick & Dan Rowe are a Folk / Americana duo, performing melodic and personal songs reminiscent of story-telling artists such as Patty Griffin, John Prine, and the Weepies. Lead singer Charlotte Kendrick emerged on the New York folk scene in 2003 after serving for two year in the Peace Corps, in Cote D’Ivore in West Africa. The duo met in New York City in 2002, and together produced Charlotte’s debut release I Get Stupid, released in 2003. After the debut release, they celebrated their wedding engagement by self-booking a 100-day national tour, and continued to tour extensively through the next five years, playing shows for fans across the country. Charlotte and Dan quickly made two more records together, Live at the Roger Smith (2004) and North of New York (2007).
Now based in Hopewell, NJ, their more recent songs reflect a time of life that many can relate to. As in past material Charlotte’s lyrics are autobiographical and unapologetic, describing the joy and struggles of raising children and finding meaning amidst the mundane, complemented by Dan’s delicate harmonies and production. Charlotte and Dan’s most recent collaboration, Worth the Wait, will be re-released in Spring 2025.
